General information for families enrolling in Suzuki Violin School
- The school runs September through June. Summer lessons are offered at personal requests.
- All lessons must be paid for at the first lesson of the month ($10 for 10-15 min, $15 for 20 min, $20 for 30 min.) Refunds will be only made on the basis of a permanent move from the area.
- Family registration fee is $10.
- Group tuition fee $200 for the year of 20 sessions (groups/concerts/recitals) will be paid in two installments. First installment of $80 together with the $10 registration fee is due
September 8, 2008. Second installment of $120 is due
January 5, 2009. 10% discount is applied to siblings.
- If a check is returned by the bank, the parent of the student or the adult student will be charged the bank fee. If payment is not received within thirty (30) days of the first lesson of the month, the regularly scheduled lesson time will be forfeited.
- Missed lessons can be made up within 30 days from missed day. Please give 24 hour advance notice. Cancelled lessons initiated by the teacher will be rescheduled.
- School will have two large recitals. Students enrolled in group classes will perform in the group portion of the concert. Solo performances require taking “solo” lessons. For beginners, only a child that can play “Twinkle” rhythms on one string will be able to perform in the group. Other performance opportunities include festivals, home concerts and graduations.
- Students will need new materials (books, CDs, etc.) as they progress.

School can purchase the materials and provide an invoice. Please remit with the next month payment. Students may obtain their own materials; see your teacher for specific information.
- The instrument should be maintained and in good repair at all times.
- Please notify me of any health problems that I should be aware of and whom to notify in case of an emergency.
- Please bring up any concerns regarding practice at the beginning of the lesson. E-mail or phone the teacher with administrative questions.
