Mrs. Iryna Juravich is currently a Suzuki Violin School Teacher in both Oneida and Hamilton. She graduated with excellence from the Children's Music School in Ukraine, in 1985 after 7 years of musical study. There she studied instruments, music literature, music theory/solfeggio, ensemble playing and chorus. She was a math major in college and upon graduation from the University, taught in high school for 5 years before moving to the U.S. Here she has also obtained a BS in Computer Science and was employed by both Lockheed Martin and BAE Systems. She was first introduced to the Suzuki style of learning as she took lessons with her own son. She became very involved with assisting the teacher with her son's group lessons. She then herself, became the teacher in Hamilton three years ago after a teacher vacancy. She is very passionate about music and really enjoys being a Suzuki Violin teacher. She is a member of the Suzuki Association of America (SAA), has taken the Every Child Can, Suzuki Violin Book 1 - 3 courses, and continues her education through workshops. She is looking forward to bringing the Suzuki Violin Method to you or your child!
